Lydia

Lydia’s trademark is a black eyeliner. Pictured here at Spring Studios, where she’s a Sample Coordinator Manager for e-Commerce projects, she appears shy of the camera.
In fact it took me few good months to convince her to be portrayed in this blog. One of the qualities of this beautiful girl is that whatever happens on set, or if we stylists are missing some essential product, she always calmly help and find out for what are we looking for.
Lydia has an adorable  13 year old dog named Poppy, who’s suffering from Dementia. Poppy spends her days with Lydia at Spring Studios and has became a studio mascot.
A part of the team, really.

Helen

A few years ago, I attended an interview for a job at the Monocle Café . Helen was one of the company’s board members and interviewer at Monocle’s HQ. When leaving the office, I wasn’t sure whether I got this job but had a feeling that we may become friends.
Helen is such character. And her life could be a screenplay for a good movie. (I’m NOT kidding). As Executive Assistant to Monocle’s chairman, to watch her calmly coordinating an international brand and being supportive to the team was a great lesson to learn.

Helen and myself are no longer working for Monocle, but I have a pleasure of meeting her occasionally and have an epic time together. That’s what meeting friends are for, right?

Caylee

A glamour girl. A chameleon. A character.
This Studio Assistant intrigues me every time we meet at London Spring Studios.
She’s also a freelance Production Assistant to name a couple of her many roles.
“Basically, I am a freelancer who is figuring out which route I want to take; but I also love learning new skills and the variety that comes with each job.” A professional multi-tasker with such a fun personality! Most desirable combo of traits indeed.
Perhaps that’s why I feel very comfortable in her company.

Barbara

Talented, witty and utterly stylish.
Her straight forward, Italian nature and  attention to detail are a great compliment to the fashion industry in which she’s working. This is how we met actually. Styling an editorial at Spring Studios and she was the remarkable support and guidance for the brand I was working for.
The infectious “Boom!” she’s using so often had us all repeating it at every possible occasion. But still, only Barbara can make it sound so explosive. When I meet her in the morning – I just  know that my day will be stimulating and full of fun.
Boom! No more words needed!

Karo

She is one of those exceptional people, whom you cannot pass by without taking a long look.
And I’m not talking about her pretty doll face. It’s all about her allure.
I must admit that since we met that first day in a fashion magazine office 11 years ago, she hasn’t stopped intriguing me. At ALL.
What I also adore about Karo, is that despite living in different countries and our time together in that office brief, we feel compelled to Skype and share our crazy/silly/embarrassing moments of our lives with each other. With a glass of wine in our hands and over a decade of fond memories to share, geography is no boundary to true friendship
